Council discussed the proposed composition of the task force.  As suggested at the retreat, six members were proposed to be appointed by various community organizations and six individuals are to be selected by the City Manager.  The six individuals should include one person from the environmental technologies or environmental industries area of expertise; others should represent banking, small and/or large businesses, developers, real estate experts, and so forth.

Councilmember Grace highlighted the need for a health care professional.

Councilmember Ransom suggested naming a representative of the gambling industry and recommended a member of the Mitchell family, who owns the largest amount of land and two mini-casinos on Aurora Avenue.  Council agreed to name William Hubbell, general manager of Club Hollywood and son-in-law of the Mitchell family.
